StumpTown Kennel is all about promoting, honoring, and developing this versatile breed.  Like its timber-town namesake, we think our shorthairs represent a balanced evolution that incorporates deep 'old growth' German roots  with high performing modern American bloodlines.  Our hope is that the Spring 2010 litter (whelped on 4/23/10) will carry forward the superb temperament, conformation, field performance, and proven health demonstrated by the sire (BOB) and dam (VIDA).  We credit the dedicated professional breeding programs behind these dogs with developing some of the finest GSPs we've had the honor to share a home with and hunt behind.

In keeping with the development of modern versatile hunting dogs, we expect to place these pups with hunting families that will capitalize on their natural abilities.  The sire and dam are loving pets that live with children and families but these athletes are both finished gundogs and they're all business in the field.  Both dogs have intense desire, incredible noses, and high levels of cooperation balanced by independence that enable them to hunt upland birds and waterfowl with purpose, style, and grace.
